The Random Nature of the Bingo Game

Bingo, like other lotto type games, is a game of randomness. The numbers used in the game are printed on ping-pong balls that are all equally weighted and mixed in the bingo machine. A ball is drawn into a tube and the number is called by the bingo caller. When the balls are equally weighted each ball has the same opportunity to be drawn into the tube. There are no balls that are lighter that would drift into the tube more frequently than other balls. So each number has the same chance of being selected as every other number does. When this is the situation, then the game is a fair game. There is no way to influence or predict the outcome of the draw. Equally, every card/ticket has the same chance of winning as every other card/ticket does.

This means that each card/ticket played by each player has the same chance of winning since all draws of the number are independent and random. If players all played the same number of cards/tickets, then each player would have the same chance of winning. This is only true in tournament bingo play. In regular non-tournament play, players play whatever number of cards/tickets that they feel comfortable with so some players play more cards than others do. The players that play more cards increase their chances of winning. Due to the random nature of the game of bingo where the winner is based on luck and chance, the only variable the player can control is the number of cards/tickets.

Evaluating Online Bingo Sites

Players who are looking at potential playing sites must literally evaluate the site if they are trying to make informed decisions. Most players are attracted by the bonus size and sign-up on that basis. This is not a good way to make the decision since the bonus is only one of the factors that the player should be concerned with. When evaluating online bingo game playing sites, the player must be concerned with the total package that the site is offering. This means the player should look at the variety of games that the site offers. Do they have the games that the player is interested in? If the player doesn’t know, then the player should spend some time looking at the different sites for the games she wants. A player who wants to play patterns should not be joining a ninety number version only game site.

What about the side games? These may not mean much to the new player, but eventually she will want to play some of these games. Look over the games to see what they have. How does the site compare to others in terms of promotions and specials? If the player isn’t interested in merchandise kinds of promotions but prefers wagering money, then look for a package that emphasizes bonuses and promotions and other specials that result in credits to the wagering account. The business practices and customer support availability are also part of the total package. Players should take the time to comparison shop for the package that they feel most comfortable with and not jump at a bonus offer.
